Clinical Education

Special Strides is proud to embrace a culture of education in addition to excellence in therapy, recreation, and education. We have a very active clinical education alliance with numerous physical therapy and occupational therapy schools throughout the country. Our therapy staff welcomes this opportunity to continue our passion for lifelong learning and to keep current with the teaching practices of the university curriculums.

Special Strides is also a top level hosting facility for the American Hippotherapy Association, annually hosting several courses throughout the spring and summer.

Our therapeutic riding instructors are qualified as mentors through PATH International for individuals who require mentorship hours in their quest to obtain certification as an adaptive/therapeutic riding instructor.

Learning is not just for our clients…. it is for our therapists and instructors as well.
